Project Millennium
Project Millennium (working title) is a retro first-person action-adventure game I'm making, heavily inspired by Half-Life, Metroid Prime, Geist, and a plethora of other titles. Its graphics, music, and story also take inspiration from a lot of late 90s/early 2000s media as well, aiming for near-authenthic graphics; something you'd see on a PS2/GameCube/Xbox but with some modern twists. Basically the entire game is a love letter to the things I love from when I was a kid, and that general early 2000s era overall. The game is being made using the Godot engine.
Taking place in New York City during the final days of 1999, the protagonist is a new intern at a major electronics conglomrate that is planning to release something spectacular by the time Y2K hits. However this revolutionary new product might aim to be the end of humanity through unknown malicious tech, and the company is armed with their own task force to silence anyone who is against it. You must stop them from potentially ruining the world, before it's too late. It will be done when it's done. You can look at old photos related to my game on ArtStation, or view old videos of my game through this YouTube playlist, if you care.
